Method
- Halve the avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a medium bowl.
- Add the lime juice and salt, then mash with a fork until mostly smooth with some chunky pieces remaining.
- Fold in the cilantro, red onion, and jalapeño until evenly distributed.
- Taste and adjust salt or lime juice if needed.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips, or press plastic wrap directly onto the surface and refrigerate for up to 2 hours.
