Cilantro Lime Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Long-grain white rice
  • 2 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped

Method
 

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then drain completely.
  2. Combine the rice, water, vegetable oil, and salt in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover tightly, and simmer for 15 to 18 minutes until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  4. Remove from heat and let the rice rest covered for 5 minutes to finish steaming.
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork, then gently fold in the lime juice and chopped cilantro until evenly distributed.
