This homemade Chick-fil-A sandwich recipe uses pickle brine, powdered sugar in the breading, and peanut oil for authentic flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 piece Chicken breasts, boneless skinless, pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
  • 1 cup Dill pickle brine
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 cup Peanut oil
  • 4 piece Brioche buns, toasted
  • 8 piece Dill pickle slices

Method
 

  1. Submerge the chicken breasts in pickle brine and refrigerate for 2 hours.
  2. Combine flour, powdered sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Remove chicken from brine, pat dry, and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated.
  4. Heat peanut oil in a deep skillet to 350°F / 175°C and fry chicken for 7 to 8 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F / 74°C.
  5. Transfer chicken to a wire rack and rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Place each chicken breast on a toasted brioche bun and top with 2 pickle slices before serving.
